JD, doing an fsck.ntfs-3g is not an easy task. It does not exist yet, therefore it's not possible to just "release" it and the public has it then. Yes, I heard that Szaka might have a plan to make it, but believe me, developing and releasing it is not possible over the weekend or so. :-)
A precondition for a complete ntfs check would be to know the data format of the NTFS journal log file. As long as Mircosoft did not release a specification of it, it's not possible (or at least very very hard) to decipher its format and re-play the transactions which are stored it but are not fully applied to the filesystem and undo those which we cannot completely apply because they have not been completed. Maybe you can help. We'd need to know how the exact format of the Log Records which are descibed here: http://book.itzero.com/read/microsoft/0507/microsoft.press.microsoft.windows.internals.fourth.edition.dec.2004.internal.fixed.ebook%2Dddu%5Fhtml/0735619174/ch12lev1sec7.html Recenlty someone asked NTFS developers from Microsoft how something is done in NTFS. Maybe they can give some hints how the Log Records look like. What I also think would be helpful is funding. This project has been run by volunteers since a long time and as long as people are students, this may be possible but when people get a family and childs, it gets harder to still invest time into it, so there would definitely be a need to also bring new people into the project which start taking on tasks like ntfsck or journal support.
