Hi Jean-Pierre, the problem were not the tools. On Ubuntu only package build-essential is needed, which was correctly done before. It took me half a day to find that out. :-(
The problem was a missing dependency: libgcrypt-dev How should a search engine know that? Would it be possible to add such info to the README file? Additionally I suggest to add the new --enable-extras option there. By the way: The build result is broken if the project path contains spaces.
