Please try to give relevant information, I have no access to
a cristal ball.

Instead of saying it does not work, please show an
example (like the basic test I posted).

In particular, if touch works on some computer, and not
on all of them, please tell what is different.

To get the ntfs version, please post the output of
ntfs-3g -help 2>&1 | grep ration

To get the OS version, please post the output of
uname -a

When I ask the mount options or the relevant line of
/etc/fstab, do just that, instead of outputting the full
list of mounts without indicating which one is
relevant.

Also what kind of device are you using ?

Subject: Fwd: [ntfs-3g-devel] 'touch' dir on NTFS partition (open-source-ntfs-3g)
To: Flavio Sartoretto <sarto...@unive.it <mailto:sarto...@unive.it>>

Buongiorno Professore,
Saluti.

Sorry I made a mistake. On my PC 'touch' is working on dirs in a correct way, but on another PC it is not working.
I'll let you know the configuration of the PC where it doens't work.
However my configuration is:

 Version:

ntfs-3g 1:2017.3.23-2ubuntu0 amd64  read/write NTFS driver for FUSE

mount options:

/dev/sda1 on /media/filippo/Seagate Expansion Drive type fuseblk (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096,uhelper=udisks2)

Thanks for your time and sorry for the mistake.

Would you please give some details about your configuration :
the ntfs-3g version you are using, the mount options
(or the relevant /etc/fstab line), and any other relevant
    parameter.
