you run a pretty old pdftex, we have 14h-unofficial now, which has many 
improvements and tries to catch acrobugs

also: in case of troubles watch the logfile, since it reports missing font 
and so

pdftex: just get the precompiled binaries

context: normally you only have to download the context zip and regenerate 
the format
