Hmm, on a laptop you get the latest Windooze + drivers, if you attempt
to install from an old Windooze CD, you would get the same problems. I
usually have the reverse problems, i.e. Windows 2000 not supporting stuff
like my IR port.

Just get the latest version and all should be fine. Most of the time
I'm a happy user of RedHat 7.1. Linux sometimes freezes, and after
suspend, the pccard doesn't seem to be reinitialized properly so I
have to take it out and reinsert it.
