Hallo Thomas, hi all,

Well I actually wouldn't expect an space between the 'm' (metre) and a
',' (comma). But there should be naturally a space between 'm' and the
'u' of 'und'.

I think everything is ok. \TeX\ uses the space after the \Meter to see
it as end-macro-sign. So \TeX{} needs to know that it hasn't to read on.
Solutions:
a) '\Meter\ und'
b) '\Meter{} und'
c) '{\Meter} und'
I actually prefer the first one.
It is possible to try to find out whether a "\foo " should eat the space
or not, but it is not very easy to make it always right. (I think it is
somewhere in de-tex-faq also described, but I cannot find it right now.)
