OK- figured it out- sorry! There was a problem w/ the hashed ls-R files 
(I should have known)... I didn't look at the logs closely enough to 
notice that the permissions were messed up on them when I went to 
regenerate- DOH!

Of course, now, with some newly converted fonts I'm getting an 
"Arithmetic Overflow" when I try to use them in the generated TeXfont 
document, so my woes aren't entirely over yet... but I'm getting 
closer :)
