Is there any code in ConTeXt that makes the vertical bar `|' other than letter (code 11)? I had a file fail compilation over a `|' (used as part of an otp transcription in Gamma):

\catcode`\|=11
fixed things and ConTeXt appears to run fine, but I need to know if this quick
fix is dangerous;->
