I think on UNIX the first line of the script should look like

However I tried this and then
[Nigel-Kings-G4-Lap:~/bin] nigelk% texsync.rb
texsync.rb: Command not found.

I am not sure what is reporting this because texsync.rb is executeable and
is in the path and anyway I am in that directory.


one option is to make a file


with in it the line

ruby texmxstart.rb texsync.rb
