As usual, Taco to the rescue. It is not self-evident that one must go to the About button first. I was going directly to some of the other buttons along the bar. Now following the above instruction everything works perfectly of course. If you remember the previous home page it had distinct and labelled anchors for html navigation versus pdf navigation. When I refer people to the page I will need to mention the requirement to select "About" first when navigating via html (as many of us have to.)
