Many thanks for your reply, Wolfgang. This helped me to realize why I was stuck with the same issue again. My source files are Markdown (converted to XML with pandoc) to be compiled with ConTeXt. When I type ConTeXt code, it is really rare that its contains verbatim (especially inside footnotes). Both \xmlprettyprinttext and \xmlinlineprettyprinttext use buffers. This avoids having issues when deployed inside a footnote. As always, many thanks for your insightful explanation and your help, Pablo ___________________________________________________________________________________ If your question is of interest to others as well, please add an entry to the Wiki! maillist : ntg-context@ntg.nl / https://mailman.ntg.nl/mailman3/lists/ntg-context.ntg.nl webpage : https://www.pragma-ade.nl / https://context.aanhet.net (mirror) archive : https://github.com/contextgarden/context wiki : https://wiki.contextgarden.net ___________________________________________________________________________________
