You have to replace "foregroundcolor=..." with "color=...". 3. You have to pass the correct name as argument to the color key but in your example you use an uppercase V in \definecolor but a lowercase v in \startcolumns. 4. Please test your example before you send them to the list because there is a } at the end of the text without a previous {.
