I was to report the same issue. Same happening here (Linux 64 bits)

Hi Julian and Jairo,

I can confirm this too with the following sample:

   \starttext
   \placecombinedlist[content]
   \dorecurse{25}{\chapter{Chapter \recurselevel}}
   \stoptext

It is a LMTX issue only, since MkIV works fine.

Line 527 from strc-lst.mkxl introduces a \normaldef in current latest
(2025.07.07 23:34). Before there was only a \def.

This apparently fixes the issue for me, but I have no idea whether this
is the right way to do it.

Hans, could you confirm whether this is the way to fix this?

sure but you can also try this:

\permanent\protected\def\installstructurelistprocessor#tag#meaning%
  {\defcsname\??structurelistprocessor#tag\endcsname{#meaning}}

when cleaning up some older code (as part of adding some more overload protection related features deep down) i'd forgotten that the mkiv parser is sensitive for this

if that works ok i'll update
