I don't use MSYS2 so it's not something I can help with. I suppose it's 
possible that Windows is happy but MSYS2 is not and that's where the error is 
coming from? So a check would be to see if context runs from purely a Windows 
command line.

But I suspect the best way to reset everything in order to start again would be 
to make a backup by renaming the directory as you currently do and then do a 
fresh install of the Windows 64-bit version using nothing but Windows command 
line commands. Don't do anything with MSYS2 until you first have it working in 
Windows.
