Dear list,
testing linenote compression, I’m stuck with this sample:
\setuppapersize[A7]
\definelinenote[othernote]
[paragraph=yes,
compress=yes,
compressmethod=separator]
\definelinenote[anothernote]
[paragraph=yes,
compress=yes,
compressmethod=space,
compressdistance=3em]
\setuplinenote[paragraph=yes,
compress=yes,
compressmethod=stopper]
\setupnotation[linenote, othernote, anothernote]
[alternative=serried]
\starttext
\startlinenumbering
\dorecurse{25}
{a\linenote{b}\othernote{c}\anothernote{d} }
\stoplinenumbering
\stoptext
It gives linenotes that belong to line 1 and 2.
Compression only prints the first reference to 1 in the line note and
suppresses it in further notes that belong to the same line.
But no matter which method, they are also applied to the last note from
the line, having the next note its own number.
In the sample distance, stopper and separator are also applied before
the number 2 in the notes. I‘m afraid this shouldn’t be happening.
This is clear to me, but should be any compressmethod applied only when
the note number is actually suppressed?
Could anyone explain me this behavior or confirm the issue?
Many thanks for your help,
Pablo
