only because if the topic has very little general interest to the people on
the list, I don't want to be spamming the vast majority of the list.
Unlike a topic such as "why aren't my circles round when I use MP?", which
may conceivably be of interest to other people, I doubt that people who
don't use emacs aren't likely to start if the discussion is on-list.
I don't know how many people read this list, but if it ends up that there
are only (say) three AUCTeX users here, the ratio of "spamee" to
"interested party" would be quite high.
Having said that... if the other people on the list don't feel like they
are being spammed, I'm fine with it on-list.
Are you an AUCTeX user, or just wondering about the off-list idea?
