Now rgb raster images are printed in strange resolution as if pixelated

Or how did you get the “strange resolution”?
I’d generally suggest to leave CMYK conversion to the printshop and use
PDF/X-4 with properly profiled images. But there are too many printshops
that are >20 years behind in their workflow…
