Why does Steffen's code not work, while it works if I add
\definenote[\v!footnote]? Another strange thing is that the following
works
\starttext
\footnote{test}
\setnumber[footnote]{3}
x\footnote{test again}
\stoptext
But the footnote number is not incremented in
\starttext
\setnumber[footnote]{3}
x\footnote{test}
\stoptext
Could it because of the loading order of file?
