Well, then perhaps I need a bit of advice because I have the impression that my TeXLive 2007 installation already sports the latest Latin Modern fonts ... Namely, in 2007/texmf-dist/doc/fonts/lm/ the history file reports a release date of 22.01.2007 (which is even after 1.010 but without an extra version number) ... and this is the only instance where I could find version information in the entire TeXLive 2007 tree.
