consider this example:
\startsetups [empty]
\stopsetups
\starttext
% \setuplayout[lines=7,grid=yes,setups=empty] \showgrid
\setuplayout[lines=7,grid=yes] \showgrid
\dorecurse{2}{\input ward \endgraf} \page
\stoptext
If you use the other setuplayout line, the result is different. Why?
