I try to understand why this doesn't work as I expected?

\startbulletlistitem{One}\stopbulletlistitem

\startbulletlistitem{three}\stopbulletlistitem
}\stopbulletlist
\stoptext
I expect:
* One
* Two
* Three
but I get:
! Extra }, or forgotten \endgroup.

?
