should do the box trick ...

\let\normalstarttikzpicture\starttikzpicture
\let\normalstoptikzpicture \stoptikzpicture

\def\starttikzpicture{\hbox\bgroup\nomalstarttikzpicture}
\def\stoptikzpicture {\nomalstoptikzpicture\egroup}

but i'm not maintaining thst module myself
