Hello,

I'm probably among the guilty ones ... in MKII and in LaTeX all the
lowercase greek letters come out in italic, but all uppercase letters
come out in roman shape.

In MKIV now they both come out in italic. This has probably been done
almost on purpose (or better: I knew about it, but didn't dare to care
enough), but it would be nice to solve the issue somehow.

It might make sense to allow or enable uppercase italic Greek letters
in special cases, but it would be nice to have compatible behaviour.
TeX has been there for a while and it has always behaved in some
specific way (roman uppercase Greek in this particular case). It's
funny if ConTeXt MKIV chooses another way with no particular reason.

This question is not related to implementation so much (changing the
default behaviour is easy; only enabling both variants would require
some more configuration ...), I would only like to hear opinions.

Mojca
