I think a space is needed as in
\startformula
\int _a^b f(x) dx \quad
\iint _a^b f(x) dx \quad
\iiint _a^b f(x) dx \quad
\stopformula
$\int _a^b f(x) dx$
But there are some examples in
pack-rul.mkiv
that use \int_01
so I don't know if it's a bug.
