I get multiple hyperlinks for equivalent use.

You need to send a MWE.
In the case of bibliographies, a MWE can include the .bib dataset in a
buffer, as follows:

\setupinteraction [state=start]
\usebtxdefinitions [apa]

\startbuffer [bib]

  author={Author1},
