You can give an option to \framed, as in:
\placerecipe{}{\framed[align=justify,offset=2pt]{La vie n'est pas un long
fleuve tranquille !}}
You may also (in the above example) replace « fleuve » by « fleu||ve » in order
to get a hyphenation.
