I'm on linux but I'd prefer not to use this method, because I use context both from the command line and from my editor (emacs with auctex) and I have scripts that change my environment to be able to switch between different context versions (lmtx, texlive, ...). In any case, I'll think about this solution and it could be useful to other people, too.
