Sorry, I cannot make it work here. What I have now is:

\setupalign[hanging]
\setupfontsynonym[Serif][handling=pure]

\setupbodyfont[pos,10pt]

\stoptext

this definitely hangs here !

So, what version of pdf(e)tex are you using?

You must have >=1,0 because thanh changed it around that time [the current method is not the same as described in his thesis]
