neither nor. We are talking mainly about the executable files
texexec, pdfetex and the texexec.ini config file for texexec (so many
config files!)

Don't know where the usual place is, but I keep my ConTeXt
installation separate from the tetex installation, since I like to
keep things apart. I changed the config file texmf.cfg and included
the ConTeXt path.

Nevertheless, it should be possible to install the ConTeXt beta over
the tetex installation.

Please post the output of `texexec --verb' and the output of
