Style gurus, I am sure there are some experts here. At the end of a sentence I think it is normal for a footnote to be after the full stop. When this is done the spacing to the next sentence is not very large, it certainly doesn't look very good to my eye.
... End of sentence with footnote.\footnote{This is the footnote.} The next sentence.....
What is the recognized way of sourcing this.
