Hi Burton, Luca and ALL First: This is something small, but when i use nmap together with ntop, the host operating system gets displayed like that: - [Linux Kernel 2.4.0 - 2.4. or - [Windows 2000 Professi
hmmm.... aren't there some letters missing ? ;) secondly: ntop in daemon mode...with switch -E..... with nmap setuid to root... first time... ntop starts successfully..... after restarting ntop.... ntop fails to start (no processes at all !) /var/log/messages says: ntop: Wait please: ntop is coming up... ntop: 15/Apr/2002 20:27:09 Initializing IP services.... ntop: SSL is present but https is disables....bla bla ntop: ntop startup succeeded and nothing else is logged After removing the -E switch everything works as excepted (without nmap an lsof of course :) ) bug ? or missconfiguration ? I'am using the snapshot from yesterday. Cheers Marcel _______________________________________________ Ntop-dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://listmanager.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop-dev
