Hello,

Sorry if this is redundant but....

We need to keep the NTOP data and I saw the doc that NTOP
outputs SQL commands via connection to a client at port 4000
via the -b command.

Well, I wrote a client in 'C' that accepts the data and inserts it into a
postgreSQL database. I documented it, the steps to compile it, create the
databases, etc. on RedHat. (I can post it here if anyone is interested.
it listens UDP wise on port 4000, collects the data and uses the postgresql
api to run the commands from Ntop. I saw the mySQL perl script but I do not
like mySQL...)

My question is this, is this reliable? Does NTOP reliably export the data, or
is the SQL output not that well supported? if not , how can I help make it
so?

thanks,
Earl
