Well it looks like around 42,000-48,000 entries will use up 512megs of memory.
hopefully soon I will be able to come across a box that will support 2 gigabytes of RAM
anyone using NTOP on large networks 50+ megabits?
right now Im testing it on a 100 megabit university pipeline and about 94,000 hosts behind the pipe.
1.5ghz pentium IV with 512mb is not cutting it :) of course this is as good as a real-life test enviroment for any product can get. forget about looking at sessions the -z option is a must
Planning to scrounge up a 2.53Ghz box with 2gb of ram I hope it will survive.
