first of all, thanks for the work on ntop, its appreciated ! :-)
I have a problem: i'd like to get ntop work with rrdtool support and
installed the latest rrdtool 1.0.40 as a port under FreeBSD 4.7.
rrdtool 1.0.40 uses its own private copy of libpng 1.0.9.
Then i configured and installed ntop-current (ntop-03-01-22.tgz)
to used rrd and installed it - ntop uses its own private copy
of libpng 1.2.4.
Ntop runs fine and produces the rrd databases, but when trying to
display them in the ntop www-interface, ntop exits with:
libpng warning: Application was compiled with png.h from libpng-1.0.9
libpng warning: Application is running with png.c from libpng-1.2.4
libpng error: Incompatible libpng version in application and library
No i tried two ways: 1) exchanging png in rrd and 2) exchanging png in ntop
but i failed - not because its not possible, but because libpng usage is
very deeply integrated into the various subparts of either package.
Perhaps i don't see the wood for trees anymore. So, how do others solve
this problem ? Is there an "easy" way to get around this problem ?
