/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lxmldump
libxmldump.so couldn't be found in the locations specified by -L and by
ld.so.conf

Subject: [Ntop-dev] Cannot find -lxmldump

Using the 2003-03-03 snapshot, I muddled through in the end, but activating
--enable-xmldump on a Mandrake 8.2 is *hell*, mostly due to the fact that it
has libc-2.2.4.so, while libxml2 switched to GLIBC_2.3 somewhere between
v.2.4.26 and v.2.4.30, what the heck.

After that I installed gdome2 v.0.7.3 via rpm and rpm-devel.

Now make stops, saying:

gcc -shared address.lo dataFormat.lo globals-core.lo hash.lo initialize.lo
leaks.lo netflow.lo ntop.lo pbuf.lo
protocols.lo plugin.lo qsort.lo regex.lo sessions.lo ssl.lo term.lo
traffic.lo util.lo vendor.lo version.lo ntop_darwin.lo /usr/lib/libxml2.so
-lpthread -lresolv -lnsl -lpng -lm -lz -lssl -lcrypto -ldl -lc -lcrypt
-L/usr/lib -lpcap /usr/lib/libgdbm.so
-L/home/nl/tmp/ntop-current/gdchart0.94c -lgdchart
-L/home/nl/tmp/ntop-current/gdchart0.94c/gd-1.8.3 -lgd -lxmldump
/usr/lib/libglib.so
/usr/lib/libgdome.so -Wl,-soname -Wl,libntop-2.1.58pre.so
-o .libs/libntop-2.1.58pre.so
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lxmldump

What doe that mean, exactly?
