(In reply to [Ntop-dev] Re: fork(ntop), split to keep threads pure)

.dmx - That's you

Win32 - also you (Demo and pre-built)

.deb - Dennis has historically done these

.pkg (FreeBSD) - ntop is currently listed at

    ntop-2.0.99.r2_2
Network monitoring tool with command line and web interfaces
    Maintained by: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Which according to sources, Maintained by: [EMAIL PROTECTED] means nobody
supports it. Still, I've got a question into them on the mechanics.

I've also got a ? into the Sun Freeware people about how to get ntop updated
there.

The plan would be to say it's 2.2, have the various individuals do their
packages and post them at SourceForge.

(I'm not quite ready to call it 2.2, as I'm still chasing a doubling bug in
netFlow)

Burton,

<snip />

Other things that I dislike is the .rpm-only format. You can release
ntop 2.2 whenever you want, but I won't bless you until there are a
.deb, .pkg (Solaris+FreeBSD), .dmg (OSX) and .rpm (RH) available or at
least a way to do "make XXX" and build a XXX package.
