The logs show that this was a single event. It doesn't seem to have happened
since, and I don't see any kernel messages showing eth1 leaving promiscuous
mode. Rats.

(RedHat 9.0 is the distribution)

I'm drawing a blank, truthfully. We seem to be gathering statistics fine
otherwise - all the rrd databases are getting updated and everything else is
at or near what we'd expect for the segment we're monitoring.
