It's not the Alpha, it's the Tru64 that's different and I'm not aware of
anyone working in that realm.

Now, any UNIX w/ reasonable versions of the Gnu toolchain should be
feasible, but there are some nasty differences, e.g. FreeBSD's user-land
threads, etc.  So brace yourself for some work.

Best bet is to start by figuring out:

1. What utils/linuxrelease returns as the "OS"
2. Build a configureextra/xxxxxxx file

That gives you the place for unique settings.  If you know what the Tru64
world is most like, then pick that configureextra file as a starting point.
