Ok. Now when I attempt to view the status of ntop from Safari (I'm on
a Quad G5 under 10.5.6) through http://localhost:3000, ntop quits with
a "dyld: Symbol not found ___sprintf_chk$LdBLStub" error.

Somehow I got it working, but I have no idea what I did.
I think my command line was : sudo ntop -u admin -d
I had to do it twice since it bailed the first time.
As with most command line tools, we need simple "get up and running"
user docs. I've seen the admins request this often, often with
frustration.
I'm willing to write a "get up and running" basic doc geared to mac
users who fear the command line if any of the admins has the time to
spend helping on this.

Luca, I have tried the -P argument as well, yet as a brand new
user, I have no idea what to supply for the directory.
In the config file it is listed as:
--db-file-path /opt/local/var/ntop
Do I need to remove the leading minus signs?
Grazie,
- Alex

Can someone please tell me how to launch ntop so that it doesn't
immediately quit? Or at least refer me to some user documentation?
Thanks,

Hi. I'm finally trying to use ntop and am running in to this
problem. No idea what is going on here, what to do or why this is
happening. Any clues? Thanks,
