I did that because the libpfring.a can't be used to "link" libpcap but
apps using it (userland/examples). Is this wrong ?

In debugging configure time problems with the new version of bro, I
discovered a change in the Makefile between the current SVN and
PF_RING-5.1.0:
[scottc@sec-comm2 development]$ diff
PF_RING/userland/libpcap/Makefile
PF_RING-5.1.0/userland/libpcap/Makefile 51c51< PF_RING_LIBS=
#../lib/libpfring.a ---
PF_RING_LIBS=../lib/libpfring.a
Since the problem is resolved by having libpfring relinked in, I am
wondering why this changes was made and if there are possible side
effects from "fixing" it?
