I've been in touch with the FreeBSD maintainer for a while but I have no news
about this subject.

Sylvio can you please clarify the status of the port? I have been running ntop
on FreeBSD 7 for months with no problem whatsoever. I don't know if there are
issues with v8 but if there are I'm willing to address them given that you help
me to reproduce them.
