I'm noticing messages such as: Mon Apr 11 16:13:14 2011 **WARNING** RRD: rrd_update(/usr/local/var/ntop/rrd/interfaces/sFlow-device.2/sFlow/48/ifOutBroadcastPkts.rrd) error: /usr/local/var/ntop/rrd/interfaces/sFlow-device.2/sFlow/48/ifOutBroadcastPkts.rrd: illegal attempt to update using time 1302563594 when last update time is 1302563594 (minimum one second step)
appearing when ntop is running - they seem to travel in fairly large groups - one entry per statistic per port it seems (I don't have that much scroll-back and ntop is not running as a daemon so it isn't going to syslog (iirc)). At one level the error message is encouraging - it suggests that one can indeed store to the RRD as often as once a second :) but it is still worrisome regardless. In a semi-related action, I have a 10000 packet pcap file with sflow in it I can make available if it might help with testing/debugging/whatnot of sflow support. rick _______________________________________________ Ntop mailing list [email protected] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop
