I have a new install of ntopng on a 2008 R2 VM. Traffic is showing up, but it looks like it's all going to/coming from the ntopng server. I'm running a 3TB download from both the ntopng machine as well as my laptop, and neither download is getting registered under the active flows or the hosts lists. I also did an 800MB DropBox test, and while it did register that I sent something to DB, it only showed about 80MB was sent. I know just enough to know I don't know what I am really doing so any help would be appreciated it. Can this even run on a VM?
It should be possible to run it on a VM. May I ask how are you starting ntopng (the full command line)? And which version are you using?
