Dear sir(s),
whilst trying to compile ntop
(latest beta at http://luca.ntop.org/ntop-beta-2105.tgz)
i ran into a problem:
whilst running autogen (in /ntop-current/ntop/ )
it told me that I need the crypt library --->
checking for crypt...no
checking for crypt in -lc...no
checking for crypt in -lcrypt...no
But earlier in the program it checked for crypt.h and found it.
So, assuming I was missing some lib (first checked /etc/ld.so.conf to see
if all my lib dirs,including /usr/local/lib were configured (yes))
I went to rpmfind.net and did a search for crypt.
found the following:
CryptUtils-1.1.1-1.i386.rpm ( I installed it)
CryptoTool-1.0.0-1.i386.rpm ( I installed it)
cryptlib-2.00-1.src.rpm ( would not compile)
crypt++-2.84-3.noarch.rpm ( I installed it)
but after this it still would not compile.
Any help/hints/advice would be greatly appreciated,
