I have been trying to install NTOP by first using the RPM from redhat.com but it did not work. Whenever executing the ntop command it says. sniffying... but nothing ever happens. Hence, I grabbed the latest source code in order to compile and every time I run make install I get this and itseems to fail: /usr/local/lib/libpcap.a(gencode.o): In function `pcap_compile': gencode.o(.text+0x1e8): undefined reference to `lex_init' /usr/local/lib/libpcap.a(grammar.o): In function `yyparse': grammar.o(.text+0x8b): undefined reference to `yylex' grammar.o(.text+0x96c): undefined reference to `yylex' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [ntop] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/ntop-current/ntop' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/ntop-current/ntop' make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2 Any ideas on what I am doing wrong...or have I given enough info here? Thanks in advance.
