Hi, I plan on trying NTop Beta 2 out on a network at University to look at the traffic ( Yes I will have permission :) and was wondering if the machine I'm going to use will be sufficient. The machine will only be running NTOP and tcpdump, PII 350 with 192 to 512mb of RAM, 30Gb log drive (ATA-2 66). The total traffic on the WAN is 20Kb/sec and I will only see a portion of this. The plan was to run NTop and at the same time have tcpdump dump to a file so that I can replay the data back later.
