Hi!
(It took some time.. ) :)

Hmm, everything looks alright here, exept that i don't get any data into my
database.. ;)

ntop runs fine and also logs that it speaks to the mysql server.

"21/Oct/2001:07:41:04 updateDbHostsTraffic(device=0)
21/Oct/2001:07:41:24 Purging Idle Hosts... (ignoreIdleTime=0, actDevice=0)
21/Oct/2001:07:41:24 Purging completed (0 sec/0 hosts deleted)."

The mysql server machine logs that it speaks with the ntop box..

"Oct 21 07:29:41 junior kernel: Packet log: input ACCEPT eth0 PROTO=17
213.141.65.114:33003 213.141.78.2:4000 L=121 S=0x00 I=0 F=0x4000 T=62 (#6)"

the perlprograms seems to work.. When I change the user and passwords and so
to wrong ones, it complains, so I change back and it dosn't say anything.

But.. mysql.log says nothing and there's no data in the database.

What could I be doing wrong..

I am running ntop like this: (could the -P have something to do with it
??? )

ntop -b 213.141.78.2:4000 -N -P /home/ntop/

the perlscript, well not much arguments on that one..

Could the perlscript be caching the data and store it in the db only once in
a while, or.. ?!?!?

What do you think ??

I'll keep on trying here, if I comes up with anything I'll tell you .. :)

/ Paul
