Hi,

I made my own SSL certificate as described in README.SSL and put it in
the right directory. I compiled the current snapshot (ntop-01-11-20)
under SuSE Linux 7.3 with SSL- and tcpwrapper support. The webpage
"Configuration" says:
OpenSSL Support: OpenSSL 0.9.6b [engine] 9 Jul 2001
SSL Port: 3031
TCP Wrappers Present

ntop runs fine at the "normal" port, as usual, but when I try to connect
to the SSL port with Netscape 4.79, I get the error message "A network
error occured while Netscape was receiving data. (Network Error:
Connection reset by peer)". In my /var/log/messages file are the error
messages:
ntop: warning: can't get client address: Bad file descriptor
ntop[19385]: refused connect from unknown

When I allow everybody access in my /etc/hosts.allow file, I don't get
an error message from Netscape, but it doesn't show anything, too. In my
messages file is only the first of the two error messages from above.

I also tried it with earlier versions of ntop, but without success.
Does anybody know what is wrong here? Did anybody have success with ntop
and SSL?

CU,

Michael
