The intop problem has been discussed many times, and there is a solution
(two in fact) at http://snapshot.ntop.org/ in the FAQs.

As a 3rd solution, the makefile has been updated, but you may not have rerun
./autogen.sh -1 to recreate the generated files...

Subject: [Ntop] NTOP: small bug during install process

hi, just a quick note about a NTOP installation on redhat 7.2:

process followed:
./configure
make
make install

(with no extra options, it was a pretty standard redhat 7.2 system)

make install fails because it can't find the man-pages directory
/usr/local/man/man1/intop and therefore fails the subsequent
installation of the web tree (with all the gifs, htmls ect) because the
"make install" exits. To complete the installation I had to:

mkdir -p /usr/local/man/man1/intop
make install (again)

and everything fits in nicely.
Another little suggestion: please create the directory
/usr/local/var/ntop (or whereever else the "database" directory is)
during the "make install" process, otherwise the little Perl script to
drive the system via MySQL will fail to start.

A big "thanks" for your wonderful work!
pfm
