I think it's pseudo-english.  When you do a google search on sniffying, it
asks "Did you mean to search for: sniffing"

You know what a (packet) sniffer is, right?  So where a native techo-speaker
of english might say "sniffing...", somebody added a stray Y..

"Why? because we like you" (Sorry, that's US 1950's pop-culture (NO, I'm not
THAT old, but I do know about the Mickey Mouse Club))

Seriously, no clue, I just always assumed it was an English as a second
language artifact.  But if you've ever seen my babelfished Itallian, I'm not
one to talk!  I sort of hope it doesn't ever get fixed - it does make it
much easier to grep in the logs...

Can someone explain me why ntop is "sniffying" ?
Is it a typo or am I missing something.
It has been saying it from the very early releases.
